रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बैंगलोर (आरसीबी) के तेज गेंदबाज मोहम्मद सिराज ने इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (आईपीएल) के 15वें संस्करण में खराब अभियान का सामना किया। राजस्थान रॉयल्स (आरआर) के खिलाफ क्वालीफायर 2 में उनका खराब प्रदर्शन जारी रहा क्योंकि आरसीबी टूर्नामेंट से बाहर हो गई।
सिराज ने सिर्फ दो ओवर फेंके और बिना विकेट लिए 31 रन दिए। एक ऐसे खेल में जहां आरसीबी को शुरुआती सफलताओं की सख्त जरूरत थी, 28 वर्षीय एक बार फिर से देने में नाकाम रहे।
कुछ नाराज प्रशंसकों ने अपनी निराशा व्यक्त करने के लिए सोशल मीडिया का सहारा लिया। मोहम्मद सिराज को कई प्रशंसकों ने, विशेषकर आरसीबी का समर्थन करने वालों ने उनपर कई तरह के विरोधी प्रहार किए। कुछ लोग तो इतना नीचे तक गिर गए कि उनके पिता की मृत्यु पर टिप्पणी करने लगे।

Saying RCB made a mistake by retaining Siraj, or Siraj wasn't retention worthy is hindsight 101.
In the 2 seasons before this, Siraj took 22 wkts at an ER of 7.41, Avg 26.6 & SR of 21.5 with a dot ball % of 50.8 overall. His ER in the PP was 6.58, and at the death was 8.05.

To be fair to Hesson and team,even though auction isn't his strongest suit RCB still assembled a good team barring few flaws(No out and out pacer and buying Faf).
RCB were worst hit by the form of retained players,Kohli and Siraj had terrible returns and Maxi didn't go big.
